The E4OD/4R100/5R110 is plagued by a weak factory converter that can fail with high mileage, greater than stock power and/or frequent towing. OEM units are typically made with stamped metal components and the stall speed is not matched to the motor?s torque curve. Power-adders hasten the life of the OEM converter.
